When I began taking yoga classes, an instructor told me that simply lying in Savasana for ten
minutes a day would change my life. Having spent most of my career in fast-paced corporate
environments, I couldn’t imagine how such a simple practice could have that kind of an impact,
but dutifully, I followed her advice. Fast forward 15 years of steadily growing practice, and I’m
happy to say she was absolutely right!
Like many others, I struggled with depression and anxiety after the births of my children, and my
anxiety only deepened during the recent pandemic. In both of these difficult periods, I turned to
yoga, which became my sanctuary—a safe space where I could reconnect with myself, reclaim
my peace, and find clarity.
I’m deeply passionate about the power of slowing down and turning inward, and I aim to reflect
this in my teaching style. I strive to blend movement and mindfulness in a way that’s both
accessible and enjoyable for everyone. I also love to infuse a sense of playfulness into my
classes, making yoga a fun and uplifting experience. I look forward to sharing the peace and
clarity I’ve found through yoga and helping others discover their own sense of sanctuary on the
mat.
I am a certified YTT (200 hour) and have a BA in Psychology and English from Dalhousie
University. I live contentedly by the ocean with my husband, two sons and three cats.
