Lee is a Kinesiologist and has been teaching Pilates since 2003.
I first discovered Pilates whilst on work experience in Australia, I instantly felt and saw the benefits pilates can bring to my scope of work as a Kinesiologist. From then on, I have studied with many different teachers, learning both the classical/traditional approach to Pilates as well as the contemporary method. I have recently trained and become certified with The New York Pilates Studio and took lessons and workshops from some of the most experienced Pilates teachers that are passionate about the amazing original work of Joesph Pilates. These teachers are my inspiration and I continue to deepen my understanding of Pilates and Joe’s philosophy and his pioneer wisdom he had of the body that lead him to develop this empowering exercise system. Pilates doesn't just exist as a Mat based class it was designed to practiced in a 1-1 setting with the apparatus.
Seeing my own body change and strengthen through the more recent years of practicing the classical work of Joe Pilates makes me enjoy teaching Pilates more then ever. I love seeing the changes and improvements it can have on my students’ body just after a few private sessions or classes, this has led me to see the increasingly profound beauty of this intelligent exercise system. I am always studying, learning and tweaking how I deliver Pilates to ensure my students get the most possible from the sessions and from their bodies.
Having recently moved to New Brunswick, Canada, I’m enjoying my new expansive life here with my beloved companion Kenny the Lurcher Greyhound. Needless to say I am a Pitta Dosha and I am all about transformation from the inside and outside. This transformation I’ve had from moving countries has brought to me a different focus of life. We live in a time in which we are being gudied by our hearts more then ever and many of us are reclaiming our power and our energy to come home to our true authentic selves, Pilates is just another way of helping you get there.
