Katie McKenna first discovered the joys and benefits of yoga in 2008 while volunteering overseas, away from her home in Albert Bridge, NS. She has since dedicated herself to its practice, & study, and aims to share the gift of yoga with others through her teaching.
Katie is known for her calming & reflective teaching style (always mixed with a bit of laughter for good measure), as well as her intuitive insight and depth of wisdom in holistic health, wellness, and recovery. Having been a competitive highland dancer, and a dedicated soccer and rugby player, Katie has a passion for all facets of physical activity, and was particularly drawn to the physical embodiment that came with practicing yoga. With an educational background in humanities, economics, and socio-cultural anthropology, Katie conducts her daily practice as a keystone to kindness, a connection to the community, and a better understanding of the world around her.
