Hung-Yeh Peisinger

Hung-Yeh was born in Taipei, Taiwan. At the age of four (along with her parents), she made the journey from Taiwan to live in Germany. She spent her student years in Cologne, and graduated from the Albertus Magnus Universität, Köln. She is a student of the Tibetan Mediation Masters, the late Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche and his lineage holder Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche. Being an active member of the Shambhala community in Halifax, she has been a meditation practitioner and instructor for 30 years. In 1992 Hung-Yeh started her training in classical homeopathy and since 1997, Hung- Yeh has had a full time practice in classical homeopathy. Through homeopathy, she provides alternative and holistic care for many health-related conditions affecting adults, teenagers and children.  One of her joys in life is Argentine Tango. In order to become a more fluid and expressive dancer, she signed up for yoga. She soon discovered the profound effects of yoga. “I knew after my first class that yoga would be a lifelong love affair for me.” Through her yoga practice Hung-Yeh experiences well-being, and deep alignment within herself. Not to mention that her fabulous yoga friends and teachers are essential supports to her Yoga practice. For Hung-Yeh, teaching Yoga integrates three essential gifts of her life: healing, movement and teaching.
 Education in Yoga 2009 completion of 200hr YTT with the Therapeutic Approach Yoga Studio in Halifax, Nova Scotia. 2011 40 hrs Ashtanga teacher training with David Svenson in Halifax, NS. 2013 completion of 500 hrs Yoga teacher training with Hart Lazer which included therapeutics/restorative based on B.K.S Iyengar system of yoga. 2015 presently enrolled in Advanced Yoga teacher training with Hart Lazer. Hung-Yeh is continuously expanding her knowledge and experience of Yoga by studying with different Ashtanga Master teachers like John Darby, David Swenson, Ron Reid and senior Iyengar teachers like Hart Lazer, David Thomas, Hiltrud Lichter. All of them with decades of teaching experience. Teaching Yoga 2009-2010 teaching Ashtanga level 1 at the Yoga Loft, Cornwallis St, Halifax 2010-2013 teaching Ashtanga level 1 and 2, lead Primary at the Ashtanga Yoga Shala, Spring Garden Road, Halifax 2013-2014 teaching yoga and meditation at the Cologne Shambhala Center, Cologne, Germany. 2014-215 private classes in her studio in Halifax, Nova Scotia Hung-Yeh brings to the class her knowledge and insights drawn from different disciplines. Her teaching style is infused with precision, rigour, humour, and spontaneity. Her training allows her to teach and integrate different Yoga Lineages: Paying attention to the intricate details of foundation and alignment, Breath coordinated rhythmical vinyasa flow, Workshopping and sequencing a particular theme, Restorative Yoga.
