Kailey is a Frederictonian but began her yoga journey while living in St. John’s, Newfoundland, where she completed her undergraduate degree. She grew up playing a number of team sports and enjoyed doing outdoor activities, such as biking and hiking with family and friends. She is also a faithful patron of the Boyce Farmers Market, where you can find her there most Saturday mornings (sometimes she goes twice!). Kailey stumbled upon yoga in 2012, as she was trying to find an escape from the stress of school, and was very quickly hooked. Up until that point, she thought yoga was only for those who were flexible but loved how accessible it was to people of all body types. Since beginning her yoga practice, there was always a thought in the back of her mind that she’d like to become a yoga instructor. As she gained more experience in the working world, she decided it was now or never, and took the plunge. She completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training in November 2016, and is looking forward showing people the joy of movement and exercise that can be experienced through yoga. Kailey hopes that her classes will give you an appreciation for your body and what it can allow you to do. Her classes are slow but will create heat in the body. The slower pace will be balanced by her high energy personality which reflects her dominant dosha, pitta. Kailey wants her class to be an environment where fun can be had and not take yourself too seriously.
